One example would be sanding of automotive substrates such as E-coat or primer. [. . . ] · Sand the defective area with small circular motions and with light to medium pressure. · Finish the defective area with lighter pressure. Process Information Damp sanding by hand. When damp sanding by hand make sure you have the recommended hand pad for the appropriate disc size and specific application. Spray the disc with a water mist from a spray bottle or soak the disc in a trough or bucket of water. During sanding, use small, circular motions with light to medium pressure. Remove the damp sanding residue when finished with a Scotch-BriteTM High Performance Cloth ­ White, UPC #048011-26224. Tech Tips 1. Don't oversand. In general many defects only need to be leveled and not necessarily removed. 2. Finishing the defective area with lighter pressure blends the repair area better into the existing panel, providing a better finish in preparation for the next coating step.
