The BIOS will boot the operating system according to the sequence of the drive selected. Set [Boot Other Device] to [Enabled] if you wish to boot from another device other than these three items. Boot Up Floppy Seek: When the computer boots up, the BIOS detects if the system has a FDD or not. When this item is set to Enabled, if the BIOS detects no floppy drive, it will display a floppy disk drive error message. If this item is disabled, the BIOS will skip this test. Boot Up NumLock Status: This item determines the default state of the numeric keypad at system booting up. KN8 Ultra-SOTES, KN8 Ultra, KN8 3-9 [On]: The numeric keypad functions as number keys. [Off]: The numeric keypad functions as arrow keys. Security Option: This item determines when the system will prompt for password - every time the system boots or only when it enters the BIOS setup. [Setup]: The password is required only when accessing the BIOS Setup. [System]: The password is required each time the computer boots up. To disable security, select Set Password at main menu and then you will be asked to enter the password. Do not type anything and just press the <Enter> key and it will disable security. Once security is disabled, the system will boot and you can enter the BIOS setup menu freely. If you forget the password, you will have to open the computer case and clear all information in the CMOS before you can start up the system.
