Running the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 operating system, your TravelMate utilizes an EMR stylus for pen-based input. Software developed specifically for the computer allows for both handwriting recognition converted to application text, or handwriting captured as rich digital ink for manipulation, editing and formatting. English Writing in tablet mode Your Acer TravelMate C200 comes ready for use in tablet mode. Just remove the EMR stylus from the slot to begin pen-based input. 38 English Converting to notebook mode 1) Slide the LCD latch to the right. 2) Gently pull the display unit from the bottom until it locks into the upright position and use the keyboard to enter data. 39 Converting to tablet mode 1) To return to tablet mode, slide down the display unit from both sides. English 2) Push down on the LCD gently with both hands on the top corners until it clicks shut. Warning: Make sure that the detachable band of the protective screen cover is not bunched underneath the LCD unit before converting to tablet mode. Never use excessive pressure to shut the LCD unit. 40 English Taking your notebook PC with you This section gives you tips and hints to consider when moving around or traveling with your computer. Note that the computer may enter Hibernation mode after being in Sleep mode for a period of time. 41 What to bring to meetings If your meeting is relatively short, you probably do not need to bring anything with you other than your computer. If your meeting will be longer, or if your battery is not fully charged, you may want to bring the AC adapter with you to plug in your computer in the meeting room. If the meeting room does not have an electrical outlet, reduce the drain on the battery by putting the computer in Sleep mode. Press <Fn> + <F4> whenever you are not actively using the computer.
