You must now test the system to check the reader provides zone, tamper and attack indications. [. . . ] Keyfobs must be learnt by each reader installed in a system Power Day Learn Error TA PA How to set the system When you leave your premises you will need to set (or turn on) the intruder alarm system. Before setting the system you should ensure that the premises have been completely vacated and that all doors and windows are closed. Ensure that pets do not have access to the protected areas as they can cause a false alarm. Power Day Learn Error TA PA Reader PCB Ensure the reader is connected to the intruder system and the JUMPER link is fitted on the reader PCB. Power up the intruder system and enter the User code at the system keypad to unset the system. You will hear five rapid beeps to acknowledge the reader is in the Learn mode. Remove the JUMPER link from the reader PCB. The learn mode will NOT timeout until the first keyfob is learnt. Ensure the reader is in the day mode with the Day light lit. You should have one learnt keyfob and the new keyfobs available. 1 2 3 By entering the learn mode in this manner you will erase all recognition of previously learnt keyfobs at the reader, except for the one used to enter the learn mode. 7 8 ZONE 4 5 6 ZONE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 POWER UP THE SYSTEM x 5 rapid beeps The Day indicator should be lit at the reader. Offer a keyfob to the reader and withdraw it as soon as you hear the keyfob recognition beep tone from the local sounder. 7 8 JUMPER link removed Reader Power Day Learn Error TA PA Power Day Learn Error TA PA Hold for 10 seconds ZONE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 When an unrecognised keyfob is offered to the reader it will cause the Error light to be lit and continuous sound is emitted from the local sounder. Hold the recognised `learnt' keyfob such that it touches the centre depression on the Reader and keep it there without movement for 10 seconds. You will hear a keyfob recognition beep and 10 seconds later five rapid beeps from the local sounder. The Learn light will give a flashing indication and the ZONE lights change from flashing to steady On indication to show recognised or learnt keyfob. The reader is now ready to learn the new keyfobs signalled by the next flashing ZONE indicator. In the learn mode when an already learnt keyfob is offered to the reader, an Error indication will be given. The learn mode will timeout after 10 seconds if no actions is taken to learn new keyfob Offer the new keyfob slightly touch it on the centre depression of the reader. A learnt indication is given of the new keyfob when the flashing ZONE indicator changes to steady On indication and there is a recognition beep given by the local sounder. [. . . ] Then reset the system at the system keypad. If you do not withdraw keyfob after it is recognised by the reader, you run the risk of entering the learn mode. x 2 beeps Power Day Learn Error TA PA Repeat to learn the next keyfob. ZONE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Keyfob recognition beep Power Day Learn Error TA PA Once all the keyfobs are recognised `learnt' by the Reader wait for just over 10 seconds and the reader will exit the learn mode, this is announced by two beeps from the local sounder and return to Day mode indication. x 2 beeps Power Day Learn Error TA PA x 2 beeps Power Day Learn Error TA PA Repeat to learn the next keyfob. ZONE 1 ZONE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Once all the keyfobs are recognised `learnt' by the reader wait for just over 10 seconds for the reader to exit the learn mode, this is announced by two beeps from the local sounder and return to Day mode indication.
