[. . . ] NOTE: In the first two methods, connecting the transmitting station to the headphone socket disconnects the speakers of your original audio source. If you want to hear sound from the original Audio source while using your wireless headphone, you must use the Y adapter cable (1g). Method 3 is also great for families where one person is hearing impaired. That person can use the headphone to listen to the same audio source as the rest of the family, adjusting the volume as needed. Connect the end of the 200 mA power adapter (1f) to the DC IN power supply socket (1k), located in the back of the transmitting station. OFF LED indicator light (1b) on the front of the transmitting station lights up. NOTE: The transmitting station and the power adapter are warm when they are connected to the main power supply. This is normal and does not indicate a problem with the system. Your wireless headphone unit has been designed to work with either 2 AAA alkaline batteries (sold separately) or 2 AAA rechargeable batteries (included). Follow these steps to install either the 2 AAA alkaline batteries or the 2 AAA rechargeable batteries. Use your fingernail to lift up the bottom of the ear cushion. Insert 2 AAA batteries, carefully following the markings inside to ensure the batteries are inserted properly, with the + and ­ ends in the correct positions. This is a potential fire hazard and may cause personal injury as well as damage to the system components. Connect the plug on the 200 mA power adapter (1f) to the DC IN power supply socket (1k), located in the back of the transmitting station. Plug the elbow input jack end of the charge cable (3a) into the RECHARGE socket (1j) on the back of the transmitting station. Plug the straight jack (3b) on the other end of the charge cable into the Charge IN socket (2b) on the left earphone. Note: Batteries should be charged for 12 hours before use. During the charging process, the Charging LED indicator light (1a) on the transmitting station glows red, showing the headphone batteries are being charged. When batteries have been charged, unplug the charge cable from the headphones. When an NiCD rechargeable battery is first used, it is important to fully charge it and then allow it to discharge three times in order to maximize the battery's storage capacity. Never recharge the batteries for more than 48 hours. The 2 AAA rechargeable batteries supplied with your wireless headphone system are uncharged. [. . . ] When you are through using the headphone, turn off the headphone, using the ON· Unplug the power adapter (1f) from the power supply, since all adapters consume a small amount of power, even when the unit is not being used. Wipe the headphone and transmitting station with a dry, lint-free cloth, as necessary. Refer to this troubleshooting section if you encounter any difficulties in setting up and using your Stereo Wireless Headphone system.
