Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Never tumble dry items that have been in contact with chemicals such as dry cleaning fluid. These are of a volatile nature and could cause an explosion. As some bulky items such as duvets and eiderdowns should be dried in large commercial machines because of their bulk, check with the manufacturer of the item if it is suitable for drying in a domestic machine, even if the dry weight of the item is within the limit advised. Always check that no cigarette lighters have been left in pockets. [. . . ] It is essential to provide a certain amount of space between the floor and the appliance for ventilation purposes. Do not place it on deep pile carpet or rugs. Blocking ventilation would inevitably lead to a build up of heat which would affect the appliance's efficiency. Important The hot air emitted by the tumble dryer can reach temperatures of up to 60C. The appliance must therefore not be installed on floors which are not resistant to high temperatures. When operating the tumble dryer, the room temperature must not exceed 35C, as it may affect the performance of the appliance. Make sure that air circulates freely at the back of the appliance and that intake grilles are not obstructed. Stacking kit This tumble dryer may be stacked on a front-loading washing machine. However, the tumble dryer will have to be fixed to the washing machine. For this to be carried out, the special stacking kit (available from all authorised dealers) will be required. The assembling instructions are included in the kit. P1044 Connecting a drain hose If there is a sink or drain near the appliance, the condensed water can be discharged directly through a hose that is available on the market. In order to connect the hose to the appliance proceed as follows: s Remove the clamp (A) s Pull out the plug (B) s Insert the drain hose (C) s Fasten the hose (C) to the appliance using the clamp (A). Electrical connection This machine is designed to operate on a 220230 V, single-phase, 50 Hz supply. For this reason we recommend that the drum be filled: s completely, but without compressing the laundry, for cotton, linen and mixed fabrics s half full for synthetics s not more than one third for very delicate items. 56 i Useful hints s s Try to load to the maximum capacity of the machine as small loads are uneconomical. The laundry must be thoroughly spun before tumble drying. shirts, should be briefly pre-spun before drying (depending on crease resistance approx. 30 seconds or using the special brief spin programme of your washing machine). [. . . ] Extract the condenser using the top handle; remove fluff with a hand-held shower head or a soft brush. P0636 P0639 Important: never use the tumble dryer without the condenser. 59 ENGLISH Emptying the water container Water extracted from the laundry being dried is collected in a special container. This container must be emptied after every cycle, but it can also be emptied during the drying cycle. Should you forget to empty the container, a light will light up on the panel and the drying cycle will stop automatically even if the laundry is not dry yet.
