If the freezer door is left open for longer than 10 minutes, an audible alarm sounds until the freezer door is closed or the alarm is stopped by pressing any button. Temperature alarm An audible alarm sounds if the temperature in the refrigerator rises 10°C above the selected temperature value, the average temperature in the freezer is warmer than -9°C or the average temperature in the freezer compartment is warmer than -9°C or the temperature on the temperature sensor in the special compartment has changed significantly. Only small quantities should be frozen at one time so that the temperature in the freezer does not increase too much. Freezing can be carried out in all freezer compartments. After 24 hours the Fast Freeze function is automatically deactivated. The Fast Freeze button can also be used to freeze smaller amounts. However, it is not necessary to activate the Fast Freeze function for 24 hours. Products for freezing should not be brought into contact with products which are already frozen. Defrosting The refrigerator defrosts completely automatically, thus melting any ice that has built up on the back panel. Twice a day depending on how often and for how long the door is opened. During the defrosting procedure the temperature in the refrigerator rises so that the ice on the back panel defrosts completely. After defrosting, the temperature drops back to the original setting.
