Manual abstract: user guide AIRTRONICS DSSS 2.4

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Use the Telemetry Signal Indicator on the MT-4 2. 4GHz FHSS-4T transmitter to determine the quality of the signal. 1) Use your fingernail to carefully pry up and remove the plastic dust cover from over the Telemetry Sensor inputs on your 92010 (RX-461) receiver. 2) Plug the RPM Sensor into the RPM input in the receiver. The input plug is indexed so it can be plugged in only one direction. RPM Input Make sure to push the input plug firmly into its input in the receiver to ensure a good connection. [. . . ] This is done by applying a reflective decal to the front or back of your model's spur gear, and mounting the RPM Sensor so that the reflective decal passes in front of the Sensor Pickup as the spur gear rotates. The method used to mount the RPM Sensor to your model will vary from model to model. Two sheet metal screws are provided that can be installed through the two predrilled holes in the RPM sensor to secure it to your model. The RPM Sensor can also be secured in place using double-sided foam tape. For optimal operation, the Sensor Pickup should be positioned approximately 1mm away from the back of the moving part (spur gear, flywheel, etc. ) and the RPM Sensor should be mounted as securely as possible to prevent excessive moving from vibration, shock, jolting, etc. Input Plug Sensor Wire Sensor Pickup After mounting the RPM Sensor, one of the two reflective decals included needs to be applied to the back of the moving part so that when the part rotates, the reflective decal passes in front of the Sensor Pickup. If the spur gear or flywheel is metallic-colored (silver, aluminum, chrome, etc. ), apply the BLACK reflective decal. If the spur gear or flywheel is dark-colored (black, blue or another dark color), apply the WHITE reflective decal. Use a pair of scissors or a modeling knife to cut the reflective decal to size. Ideally, you should cut out a circle approximately 5mm in diameter. When the reflective decal attached to your model's spur gear crosses in front of the Sensor Pickup, the Bind LED on the receiver will flash Green once. Use this as a guide during the calibration process. 1) With the MT-4 2. 4GHz FHSS-4T radio control system turned 'ON' and the RPM Sensor installed on your model's spur gear as described in the Mounting the RPM Sensor section above, place your model on the ground. 2) Measuring from where you set your model on the ground, push your model and measure the distance covered to complete 10 full revolutions of the RPM Sensor (the Bind LED on the receiver will flash 10 times, indicating 10 full revolutions). 3) From within the RPM menu, scroll UP or DOWN to highlight 10COUNT DIST. 4) Press the ENTER key, then scroll UP or DOWN to change the 10 Count Distance value to the measurement obtained in step 2 above. For example, if your model traveled 2 feet (61cm) to complete 10 full revolutions, enter 24. 0in (61cm). TELEMETRY 10COUNT DIST setting range is 0. 5in to 118. 0in (1cm to 300cm). [. . . ] TELEMETRY 10COUNT DIST setting range is 0. 5in to 118. 0in (1cm to 300cm). The default setting is 12. 0in (30cm). RPM Sensor calibration is only required if you choose to use the RPM Sensor to display MPH or KM/H. Calibration is not required if you're displaying RPM. [. . . ]
