Manual abstract: user guide ALPINE NVE-K300

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] dO NOT USE NUTS OR BOLTS IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM WHEN MAKING INSTALLATION OR GROUND CONNECTIONS. Never use safety-related parts such as bolts or nuts in the steering or brake systems or tanks to make wiring installations or ground connections. Using such parts could disable control of the vehicle and cause brake failure, other accident or injury. hALT USE IMMEDIATELY IF A PROBLEM APPEARS. [. . . ] When it is time to magnetize the tire, depending on the type of car, the space between the tire and the body of the car may be narrow making it difficult to rub the tire with the magnet used for magnetizing. In circumstances like this, jack up it that is to be magnetized and then do the work. When the tire is rubbed with surfaces reversed, the polarity of the magnetism will be reversed resulting in incorrect operation of the sensor and leading to breakdown. The motion with which the magnetizing magnet is rubbed on the tire can be any desired motion; however, the whole surface of the tire should be rubbed all the way around one to two times without leaving any portions unrubbed. If possible, rubbing the whole surface of the tire (over this range) is recommended. Move the car about 1 meter ahead (or back). Release the parking brake and move the car so that the magnetized surface is at the top. When the tire is replaced by a new tire, this new tire must also be magnetized. When summer tires and winter tires are used, the appropriate tire must be magnetized for each set of tires. To raise the accuracy of the navigation system, it is recommended that the tire be magnetized regularly about once a year. If you feel that the error of the navigation system has increased, try magnetizing the tire at that time. When magnetizing the same tire, once remove the magnetism of the entire tire, and then magnetize the tire within 180° degrees. Power cable Câble d'alimentation Cable de alimentación ACC power cable (Red) Câble d'alimentation ACC (Rouge) Cable de alimentación C. Similar connections can be made with our navigation products other than the product used in the connection example showing in Fig. See the instruction manual supplied with the navigation system for information about the connections at the navigation system side. NOTES: To protect the system from car noise. When installing the sensor unit, keep it 10 to 20 cm away from such things as the car wiring, electronic equipment such as CD changers and amplifiers, regular speakers and subwoofers. When there is a battery in the trunk, install the sensor unit as far from the battery cable as possible. Install the sensor unit at an angle that is within the range of 0 to 15° of being level. Do not install the sensor unit in a place where it will likely be moved by car vibrations such as on the spare tire board. Doing so might result in the car speed pulse output of this unit becoming unstable. Do not install the sensor unit by stacking it with the other equipment such as the navigation main unit, TV tuner, or CD changer, etc. [. . . ] Affix the Velcro-type tape to the bottom surface of the sensor unit so as not to cover up the seal. If the (hard portion of) Velcro-type tape engages with the floor mat, direct attachment to the floor mat is also possible. When this method is used, the soft portion of Velcro-type tape is not used. The car speed pulse output of the sensor unit may become unstable in circumstances such as those described below. [. . . ]
