Note: Use Map Scale Bar to zoom out the map if the destination is far from the current location. 3 4 5 Touch Select. Select Set as Destination. Touch OK to Proceed on the confirmation screen. Split Mode Map Mode Shows a full-screen map of the area while providing turn-by-turn guidance prompts. Displays a large arrow and larger next-street-name font alongside a map screen while providing turnby-turn guidance prompts. Arrow Mode Displays three successive arrow manoeuvres all the way to your destination while providing turnby-turn guidance prompts. 16 Destination Setting a Destination by Address 1 Go to Main Menu. Destination Address Change Country To choose a different country from the one shown on the screen, touch Change to switch to a list to select from. Note: Pressing Recent, you can directly select from a list showing the cities set as previous destinations (Proceed with step 4). 3 If there are unique matches, the system will automatically display a short list of city names. Select the desired city. Type the first few characters of the city name and press OK. 4 The list of applicable street names appears. Select the desired street. Type the first characters of the street name. Touch OK. 5 6 Enter the address number and press OK. See page 17 for details. 18 Destination Setting a Destination by POI (Places of Interest) The Places of Interest are sorted by POI Name and by POI Category and are listed in order of distance from your current location. 1 Destination Places Go to Main Menu Finding a Destination by POI Name 2 3 Select By POI Name. A list of place names appears. Type the desired POI name. Touch OK. Note: Use the arrows to the right of the list to move the yellow highlight. This will show detailed address information and phone number (if available) for each entry in the POI database. 4 For emergency locations such as Police Stations, Hospitals, etc. , please verify availability before proceeding to such locations. Select an entry. 5 Confirmation screen appears. Touch OK to Proceed to set the destination and start guidance. Setting a Destination from the Address Book 1 Destination Address Book 2 3 Go to Main Menu Select the desired destination. Touch OK to Proceed to set the destination and start guidance. To save an address in the address book, see page 26. 19 Finding a Destination by POI Category 2 3 4 Select By POI Category. Select Search Method. Near Here 5 6 A list of POI names appears in order of distance from the current vehicle position. Select an entry OK to Proceed Near Destination 5 6 A list of POI names appears in order of distance from the destination. Touch OK to Proceed to set the destination and start guidance. 2 3 Setting a Destination by Postcode 1 2 3 Go to Main Menu. Destination Postcode Input Postcode Type in a postcode and touch OK. A list of postcodes appears. Select an entry. A list of applicable street names appears. [. . . ] Carefully follow these instructions: Power off the unit and unplug the Cigarette Lighter Charger. It is the thin, black, insulated wire that runs the full length of the thicker power cord (See diagram on page 37). Carefully cut the thin RDS antenna at the point where it enters the connector that attaches it to the Cigarette Lighter Charger. Be careful ONLY to cut the antenna, not the larger main power cable.
