Never carry packages that are not securely fastened to the vehicle. 02_26 Do not carry packages that protrude from the luggage rack or which cover any of the sound and light alarm devices. Never carry animals or small children on the glove-box or the luggage rack. Never exceed the maximum weight allowed for each luggage rack. Overloading the vehicle may result in lack of stability and poor handling. Engine oil level Check engine oil level frequently according to the indications in the scheduled maintenance table. Take your scooter to an Official aprilia Dealer to have oil topped-up and changed. Engine oil level check (03_01, 03_02) Stop the engine and let it cool off so that the oil in the crankcase flows down and cools as well. Clean the area in contact with oil with a clean cloth. Screw the tap-dipstick «1» fully into its tube «2». Remove the cap-dipstick «1» again and read the level the oil reaches on the dipstick. The level is correct when it is close to the MAX level marked on the measuring dipstick. Check that there is oil in the rear hub. to check the hub oil level , proceed as follows: · Rest the vehicle onto its centre stand, on level ground. Unscrew the hub oil dipstick «1», dry it with a clean cloth and then reinsert it, screwing it tightly into place. Pull out the dipstick and check that the oil level is slightly over the notch indicated by the arrow.
