Copy to Jukebox and Update 13 When updating your Operating System, you should keep your Jukebox powered from the AC charger/adapter so that it will not shut down due to low batteries while you are performing the update. Connect your Jukebox to your computer (see section 9. 1), and then copy the AJBM. AJZ file to the root directory of the Jukebox. The root directory is the top most level of the directory hierarchy. Just drag the . ajz file onto the Jukebox Hard drive in your file manager and it will place it in the top most directory. Once this file is copied, safely disconnect the Jukebox from the computer (see section 9. 2). Next, click [F1] Setup, then click on Settings, and then scroll down to Firmware Update and click on it. The Jukebox Multimedia will restart itself and you will see the new OS version display on the screen as it starts up. 14 5 Recording MP3 Music Refer to the Quick Start Guide for basic information. 5. 1 Recording With the Jukebox Multimedia, you do not need a computer to create MP3 music and audio files. You can create MP3 files in three different ways. You can (1) Record from the built in microphone (voice recorder) (2) Record directly from an any analog audio source such as a stereo, portable stereo, radio, etc. via the Line-in jack or (3) Record directly from a digital stereo system that has the SPDIF standard output (RCA type, not optical). To start a recording press on [F3] Rec'rd. you will be sent to a pre-recording screen. If something other than <MP3> appears above the [F1] button, click on F1 until <MP3> reappears. JBM CompactFlashTM Reader for JBM 10, 20, 120 & AV 140 This adapter allows you to copy files from your CompactFlashTM cards onto the Jukebox Multimedia's hard drive. To use this adapter, simply connect it to the Jukebox when it is off, then once the Jukebox has been restarted, insert your CompactFlashTM card (face down) and after a couple of seconds, the Jukebox will recognize it and ask you if you would like to copy the contents or a single file. If you want to copy all file types from your CompactFlashTM memory card (. tiff, . raw, etc. ), remember to set your Jukebox hardware settings to Show all files : On. JBM SmartMediaTM Reader for JBM 10, 20, 120 & AV 140 This adapter allows you to copy files from your SmartMediaTM cards onto the Jukebox Multimedia's hard drive. To use this adapter, simply connect it to the Jukebox when it is off, then once the Jukebox has been restarted, insert your SmartMediaTM card (face down) and after a couple of seconds, the Jukebox will recognize it and ask you if you would like to copy the contents or a single file.
