The board has DIMM sockets arranged as banks 1, and 2. You can install DIMMs in any of the two banks, and use different size DIMMs in different banks. The BIOS detects the size and type of installed memory. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer. Remove the computer cover and locate the DIMM sockets. Holding the DIMM by the edges, remove it from its antistatic package. Make sure the clips at either end of the socket are pushed away from the socket.
