[. . . ] Shut down and reboot the system so the BIOS can automatically reset parameter settings to default values. 1-20 Chapter 1: Hardware information BIOS Recovery (3-pin BIOS_R) This jumper allows you to recover your original BIOS from a floppy disk in case the BIOS codes and data are corrupted. Turn OFF your computer and unplug the power cord. Move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 (default) to pins 2-3. Insert a floppy disk with the original or updated BIOS file. Plug the power cord and turn ON the computer. The system searches for the BIOS file in the floppy then reflashes the BIOS. Replace the jumper cap from pins 2-3 to pins 1-2. Hold down the <Del> key during the boot process and enter BIOS setup to re-enter data. Connect the fan cables to the fan connectors on the motherboard, making sure that the black wire of each cable matches the ground pin of the connector. Do not forget to connect the fan cables to the fan connectors. Insufficient air flow inside the system may damage the motherboard components. DO NOT place jumper caps on the fan connectors. Find the proper orientation and push down firmly until the connectors completely fit. · · Do not forget to connect the 4-pin ATX +12 V power plug; otherwise, the system will not boot. Use of a PSU with a higher power output is recommended when configuring a system with more power-consuming devices. The system may become unstable or may not boot up if the power is inadequate. Make sure that your power supply unit (PSU) can provide at least the minimum power required by your system.
