Windows® XP environment DOS environment Do either one of the following to create a bootable floppy disk. b. At the DOS prompt, type format A:/S then press <Enter>. Insert a 1. 44 MB floppy disk to the floppy disk drive. Click Start from the Windows® desktop, then select My Computer. Click File from the menu, then select Format. A Format 3 1/2 Floppy Disk window appears. Windows® 2003 environment e. Select Create an MS-DOS startup disk from the format options field, then click Start. Insert a formatted, high density 1. 44 MB floppy disk into the drive. Insert the Windows® 2003 CD to the optical drive. To create a set of boot disks for Windows® 2003: D:\bootdisk\makeboot a: e. Save the BIOS file to a bootable floppy disk. Write the BIOS filename on a piece of paper. You need to type the exact BIOS filename at the DOS prompt. 2. 3. Copy the AFUDOS utility (afudos. exe) from the motherboard support CD to the bootable floppy disk you created earlier. Boot the system in DOS mode, then at the prompt type: afudos /i[filename] where [filename] is the latest or the original BIOS file on the bootable floppy disk. A:\>afudos/iP5KPLVM. ROM 4.
