Navigation keys At the bottom right corner of the menu screen are the navigation keys for the BIOS setup program. Use the navigation keys to select items in the menu and change the settings. General help At the top right corner of the menu screen is a brief description of the selected item. Configuration fields These fields show the values for the menu items. If an item is user-configurable, you can change the value of the field opposite the item. You cannot select an item that is not user-configurable. A configurable field is highlighted when selected. To change the value of a field, select it and press <Enter> to display a list of options. 3-4 Chapter 3: BIOS setup 3. 3 Main menu The Main menu screen appears when you enter the Advanced Mode of the BIOS Setup program. The Main menu provides you an overview of the basic system information, and allows you to set the system date, time, language, and security settings. After you set a password, these items show Installed. If you install memory modules supporting the eXtreme Memory Profile (X. M. P. ) Technology, choose this item to set the profiles supported by your memory modules for optimizing the system performance. BCLK/PEG Frequency [XXX] Allows you to adjust the CPU and VGA frequency to enhance the system performance. This item only appears when you set Ai Overclock Tuner to [X. M. P. ]. Use the <+> and <-> keys to adjust the value. The values range from 80. 0MHz to 300. 0MHz. Memory Frequency [Auto] Allows you to set the memory operating frequency. The configuration options vary with the BCLK/PEG Frequency item settings. Selecting a very high memory frequency may cause the system to become unstable!If this happens, revert to the default setting. iGPU Max. Frequency [Auto] Allows you to adjust the iGPU Max. Set this item to [Auto] to optimize the frequency depending on the system loading. Or use the <+> and <-> keys to adjust the value. iGPU Max. Frequency is available only when you install a desktop processor that supports onboard graphics to the motherboard and there is no other VGA cards installed on the motherboard. EPU Power Saving Mode [Disabled] Allows you to enable or disable the EPU power saving function. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled] EPU Setting [Auto] This item appears only when you set the EPU Power Saving Mode item to [Enabled. ] and allows you to select the EPU power saving mode. Launching the ATI Catalyst Control Center To launch the ATI Catalyst Control Center 1. Right-click on the Windows® desktop and select Catalyst(TM) Control Center. You can also right-click the ATI icon in the Windows notification area and select Cayalist Control Center. 2. The Catalyst Control Center Setup Assistant appears when the system detects the existance of multigraphics cards. Click Go to continue to the Catalyst Control Center Advanced View window.
