Do not forget to connect the fan cables to the fan connectors. Insufficient air flow inside the system may damage the motherboard components. Do not place jumper caps on the fan connectors! Connect the USB/GAME module cable to any of these connectors, then install the module to a slot opening at the back of the system chassis. These USB connectors comply with USB 2. 0 specification that supports up to 480 Mbps connection speed. ATX power connectors (24-pin EATXPWR1, 4-pin ATX12V1) These connectors are for ATX power supply plugs. The plugs from the power supply are designed to fit these connectors in only one orientation. Find the proper orientation and push down firmly until the connectors completely fit. To power the motherboard, it is recommended that you use an ATX 12 V Specification 2. 0 power supply unit (PSU) with a minimum 350 W power rating. This PSU type has a 24-pin and 4-pin ATX power plugs. If you intend to use a PSU with a 20-pin and 4-pin power plugs, make sure that the 20-pin power plug can provide at least 15A on +12 V and that the PSU has a minimum power rating of 350 W. The system may become unstable or may not boot up if the power is inadequate. We do not, however, recommend the use of a 20-pin PSU. You must install a PSU with a higher power rating if you intend to install additional devices. · · 4-10 Chapter 4: Motherboard info 8. Optical drive audio connector (4-pin CD1) This connector is for the 4-pin audio cable that connects to the audio connector at the back of the optical drive.
