The device must not be used for purposes other that for which it is expressly designed. AUDIO ANALOGUE cannot be held responsible for accidents or damage due to improper use of the device. [. . . ] Always switch off and disconnect the unit from the mains supply before cleaning. Cleaning externally: wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Never use any solvents or alcohol-based cleaning liquids. If the unit is moved from a cold place to a warm one, condensation may form inside it which could cause malfunctioning. To avoid this, allow the unit to stand at least 1 hour to gradually reach room temperature. unplug the unit from the mains if unused for long periods. For the UK OnIy To fit a mains plug, please follow these instructions: The wires in the mains Iead are coloured in accordance with the following code: - Green/Yellow Earth (E) - Blue Neutral (N) - Brown Live (L) As the colours of the wires in the mains Iead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire which is coloured green and yellow must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol . , or coloured green and yellow; The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black; The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red. UNPACKING APERTURA DELL'IMBALLO The shipping box should contain the following items apart from the amplifier and this owner's manual: AC Power Cord Warranty certificate Please check if all has been included: if not, contact your dealer. After opening the box, carefully extract the amplifier wearing the gloves you will find inside the box and remove its protective plastic bag; check for any damage that may have been caused by poor transport. Before connecting the amplifier to the mains socket, please check that the voltage setting indicated on the rear panel near the IEC inlet corresponds to your local AC voltage. nEVER CONNECT THE UNIT TO A HIGHER VOLTAGE THAN THAT INDICATED!After positioning the amplifier correctly, first insert the IEC plug of the mains cable in the inlet on the rear panel, then insert the mains plug in the household wall outlet. The mains fuses (two) are located in a receptacle next the IEC inlet. Their value is 10A Slow Blow for 220-240V systems, Whereas for 110-120V systems, the correct value is 20A Slow Blow. For the UK only, please follow the instructions on fitting a mains plug on the "Safety Instructions and Maintenance" page. Connect the output of each channel of your preamplifier to each of the six RCA line input sockets of the six channel power amplifier. As all the RCA sockets are all gold-plated, the best connections are made using gold plated jacks. For best sonic result, use high-quality signal cables, keeping them far from AC sources. Six pairs of gold-plated binding posts are provided for connection to your speakers and can accept bare wire, fork terminals or banana plugs. We strongly recommend the use of good quality speaker wire of adequate gauge and to keep connections as short as possible. Take care not to invert the polarity of the speakers (red to +, black to-), otherwise the soundstage will deteriorate and the whole reproduction will be out of phase. [. . . ] Also, if all leds remain off after powering the unit, turn the amplifier off and contact your Audio Analogue dealer. Long and exhaustive listening tests have shown that the best sonic performance is obtained after a "burn-in" period of at least 100 hours. Once the unit is fully "burnt-in", best sound quality can be obtained after about40minuteswarmingup. Thepreamplifier'slowpowerconsumption makes leaving it continuously switched on possible so that it will always be ready to give its best. [. . . ]
