To avoid any accidents or hazards it is necessary to follow the following regulations. Activate the equipment only prior checking if the installation has been properly made, and if it is related to the instructions contained in this manual. When pressing this button you open/close CD tray. 3) STOP: when pressing this button you stop CD playback. When pressing this button you start/interrupt CD playback. By pressing this button during playback, you move to the next CD track or, holding it down for a few seconds, activate fast forward search. When playback is stopped, you may choose the CD track from which resuming playback or search CD tracks forward. This button has two different functions, according to the CD player status. When the CD player is on STOP mode, you may press it together with PREV/NEXT button to skip 10 tracks forward/backward. Just press the 10+ button again to deactivate this function. When pressing this button during CD playback, you may set playback time display: time elapsed since the beginning of the present track ("TIME"), track time left ("TLAP") or disc time left ("TREM"). By pressing this button, you activate/deactivate standby mode. [. . . ] Whereas the CD-ROM drive is not able to access the tracks on the CD, please do not read the CD with the Paganini. Anyway, before reproducing a hybrid SACD, please check for copy protection systems in the CD layer. The Paganini 192/24 CD player is able to reproduce CDs protected with the IFPI system, which symbol is made by two circles containing two triangles. Troubleshooting Symptom Display is off No sound Cause Unit is in Stand-by mode Power cord incorrectly plugged Remedy Press STBY button on the remote controller or any button on the front panel Make sure the power cord is correctly plugged into the unit and into the wall outlet Check fuses in the fuse panel (after unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet) above the IEC inlet and replace them with new ones of the same type Check cords and their connection Check that Paganini 192/24 is correctly selected through the amplifier inputs Contact your Audio Analogue retailer for connections check and front panel replacement Place/replace battery (2 `AAA' batteries) Get closer to the unit or reduce angle Faulty or incorrectly plugged connectors between Paganini 192/24 and the amplifier Incorrectly selected source on the amplifier Faulty front panel CD player works but the display is off No battery/ worn-out battery You're standing too far or on an exceeding angle from the front panel If the suggested remedies should not work or the problem is not shown in the list above, please contact your local Audio Analogue retailer.
