[. . . ] Warranty This warranty remains in effect for five years from date of purchase for speaker components, one year on subwoofer amplifiers and electronics components. This warranty will only be enforceable by the original owner during the warranty period so long as proof of date of purchase from an authorized dealer is presented whenever warranty service is required. Except as otherwise specified below this warranty covers all defects in materials and workmanship in this product. The following are not covered: damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, product modification, improper installation, incorrect line voltage, unauthorized repair or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product; damage occurring during shipment (claims must be presented to the carrier); any product purchased outside USA or Canada, or on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed. Figure b 3 ft 3 ft 1 ft 1 ft Figure 2 13 4 Connecting Your XP410P speakers Your ARXP410P speakers contain a power amplifier to drive the subwoofer, and you must use your receiver's amplifier to power the mid/high section. The ARXP410P may be connected in three different ways: 1) If your receiver is a conventional 5. 1 unit, it will have speaker-level outputs for each channel and an LFE line-level output for sending a signal to a self-powered subwoofer. Connect the right front channel output to the right speaker input on the ARXP410P, and the left front channel output to the left speaker input, making sure to maintain correct polarity. Then connect an RCA cable from the LFE output of the receiver to the LFE input of each ARXP410P. You will need an RCA Y-cable unless your receiver has two LFE RCA outputs. 2) If your receiver is an older surround-sound receiver or a stereo receiver and does not have an LFE output, simply connect the right front channel output to the right speaker input on the XP410P, and the left front channel output to the left speaker input, making sure to maintain correct polarity. The ARXP410P has an internal crossover so that it can use the full-range speaker input to drive both the mid/high section and the subwoofer at the same time. 3) If your receiver is a conventional 5. 1 unit and has an LFE output, you may choose to not use the LFE output, and connect it as described in 2 above. In this case you must use the configuration menu in your receiver to set the subwoofer to "NONE" or "OFF. " This will turn off the LFE output, and will make the front left/right outputs full-range. Because this crossover is already optimized, methods 2 or 3 are normally recommended. If you choose to use connection method 1, then you will need to experiment with your receiver's LFE crossover, phase and level to obtain smooth bass response.
