B. Rechargeable Battery Installation and Use
The NiMH battery pack is specially designed for your player, NiMH batteries feature high storage capacity and low level of degradation. [. . . ] For periods of two months or

more, recharge the Battery at least once every two months to avoid irreparable damage to the Battery. If the Battery is left attached to the Player for an extended period, recharge the battery at least once every two weeks. Under no circumstances short out the Battery. Do not store the Battery in a metal container, or leave the battery in a humid or damp environment. Store the Battery in an airtight container with desiccant or other dehumidifying agent.
E. First, make sure the player is in "Stop" mode (OFF) and that the AC power supply has been disconnected. Align the battery pack with the players front edge. Push the battery towards the rear of the player until it locks into position. The lock position is indicated by a click. The Battery will fit snugly to the player.
