POWER BUTTON This button will alternately turn the VE-500 on or off REAR PANEL CONNECTIONS DC 12V INPUT ü ûþ ý DC 12V OUTPUT ý ÿþýüû üþ üýû ÿþýüû üþ üýû ý ÿ 12 3 4 56 789 10 1) 12V DC INPUT Connect to power adapter supplied with VE-500 2) STEREO AUDIO OUTPUT Used for additional optional external speaker 3) 12V DC OUTPUT (300 mA Max) Used to provide power to accessory equipment. 4) INPUT 1 RIGHT AUDIO TERMINAL Connect to right audio output from external audio source 5) INPUT 1 LEFT AUDIO TERMINAL Connect to left audio output from external audio source 6) INPUT 1 VIDEO TERMINAL Connect to video output from external source 7) INPUT 2 RIGHT AUDIO TERMINAL Connect to right audio output from external audio source 8) INPUT 2 LEFT AUDIO TERMINAL Connect to left audio output from external audio source 9) INPUT 2 VIDEO TERMINAL Connect to video output from external source 10)ANTENNA CONNECTOR Connect to antenna or cable system adapters not supplied may be required BATTERY INSTALLATION 1) Turn the Remote Control face down. Press down on the ridged area of the battery cover and slide it off. 2) Install the two "AAA" batteries included as shown. Make sure that proper polarity (+ or -) is observed. 3) Slide the cover back until it clicks. OPERATION The remote control will operate Audiovox Televisions and Video Cassette Players. It is not a universal remote control and will not control equipment from other manufacturers. If a universal remote control is to be used with the VE-500, choose the remote encoding scheme for Action Televisions when programming the remote. 7 1 2 6 3 4 5 MEMORY 9 11 12 13 15 8 10 14 17 16 POSITIONING THE SCREEN Pushing the screen release forward will unlock the screen and it will swing downward. Pivot the screen forward until a comfortable viewing angle is reached. The screen may also be rotated from side to side. Do not force the screen beyond its rotational limit of 15 degrees. Once a comfortable position has been found, the internal detents will hold the screen in this position. In vertical mount applications it is not necessary to release and position the screen. [. . . ] To ERASE a channel, press the ERASE/WRITE button on the Remote Control Unit until "MANUAL MEMORY XX ERASE" is displayed on screen. To STORE a channel, press the button until "MANUAL MEMORY XX ADD" is displayed on screen. TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Poor Reception Solution Verify Tuner setting matches Antenna / Cable broadcast system. Try other system types with the TV/CATV BUTTON of the remote control. Verify that the sensor on the VE-500 is not obstructed. [. . . ]
