Protect your AXIS 230 against unauthorized access, using the built-in firewall. Allowed IP addresses and protocols can be specified. Set the system time, manually or automatically. Configure SMTP-settings for sending e-mail messages notifying recipients of recordings, error messages, system messages, etc. Enable and configure multicast IP addresses and ports. Users To prevent any unauthorized use of the product, the AXIS 230 supports multi-level and multi-user password protected access. An Administrator has unrestricted access to the product's administration tools and can determine the registration and rights for all other users. The Users List displays all of the users currently defined. The administrator user name (root) is permanent and cannot be deleted. The default password (pass), however, can and should be changed. Important! · Note that if the root password is not changed, then the Enable anonymous viewer login checkbox will have no effect, checked or not.
