VOLUME CONTROL Regulates the amount of output. TREBLE CONTROL Regulates the amount of treble frequencies. OUTPUT The output is designed for running instrument cables directly to your amplifier. INPUT Plug in your guitar, bass or the previous instrument level output of your signal chain. TRUE BYPASS FOOTSWITCH Engages the Free Fuzz effect. 2 BATTERY REPLACEMENT BATTERY COMPARTMENT Pull the latch to the left with thumbnail to release the hinged battery compartment cover. Carefully unplug battery without straining cables. Replace with fresh battery in reverse order. Unplugging the input to the Free Fuzz will turn the unit off and conserve battery life. POWER SUPPLY CONNECTOR Connect the 9VDC power supply here. 3 APPLICATIONS We recommend placing the Free Fuzz before your amplifier or after any overdrive/distortion pedal for the most desirable effect, but please feel free to experiment Please Note: When using a BBE Sonic Stomp we recommend placing it last in the signal chain. IN OUT OUT IN 4 SERVICE Should the Free Fuzz ever require service we recommend that it be sent to our facility in California. Please contact our Service Department at 800-233-8346 extension 116 for a "Return Authorization" and include a copy of the original sales receipt. If this product was purchased outside of the United States, please contact your local distributor. MAINTENANCE Maintenance of the BBE Free Fuzz is limited to proper cleaning of the unit with mild household cleaner such as Formula 409TM or WindexTM. There are no user replaceable parts and the unit should not be opened for any reason unless you are a qualified technician. Calibration should be performed if parts are replaced or if a performance check-out indicates a problem with calibration. Long term use has shown that over the life of this unit there is little or no drift of the components in the BBE Free Fuzz which would cause a change in calibration. 5 WARRANTY Warranty registration of the unit to BBE Sound, Inc. It is strongly recommended that you retain a copy of the bill of sale for future reference.
