[. . . ] RSi Uni-Torque G Series Drive Installation, Operation, and Troubleshooting Manual BENSHAW ADVANCED CONTROLS & DRIVES Publication# 890014-00-03 !2. Please read this manual completely before installing the drive. The drive contains high voltage that can cause electric shock resulting in personal injury or loss of life. 3. 4. Be sure to remove all AC power from the drive before servicing. [. . . ] freq. 50% 0% 0V(4mA) 10V(20mA) 34 DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS Setting range : 0 (directly proportional input) 1 (inversely proportional input) 0 : The frequency command is directly proportional to analog input. 1 : The frequency command is inversely proportional to analog input. . freq. 0V(4mA) 10V(20mA) 0V(4mA) 10V(20mA) <<Directly proportional input>> <<Inversely proportional input>> High, Low limit frequency Setting range : 0 ~ Max. 0 ~ High limit Freq. This is to limit the output frequency of the drive. In case the set target frequency is not within the range of the highest and lowest limit, the drive will run at the highest or lowest limit frequency. It has a normal acceleration and deceleration rate below the lowest limit. Max. High limit Low limit preset freq. 35 DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS Frequency jump, Band Setting range : 0 ~ Max. 0 ~ 30 Hz This function allows the drive to skip a certain frequency range to avoid mechanical stress to the motor or load components resulting from resonant frequencies. As shown in the picture below, if the drive has a preset jump frequency of 10 Hz and a bandwidth of 5 Hz, it is not possible to set the target frequency within the range of 5. 01 14. 9 Hz. If the preset frequency increases, the driving frequency jumps when the preset frequency reaches over 15 Hz after running at 5 Hz. Conversely, if the preset frequency decreases, the driving frequency changes when the preset frequency goes below 5 Hz after running at 15 Hz. This function is to prevent undesirable resonance that can be caused by the vibration of the gear case / motor and the output frequency of the drive. Driving freq. 5Hz 15Hz preset freq. Decreasing preset freq. Increasing preset freq. 36 DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS DC brake frequency, voltage, block time, brake time Setting range : 0 ~ 20 Hz Output freq. Brake frequency : DC brake frequency. DC Braking Frequency Output volts t1:n-delay time Setting range : 0 ~ 20 % Brake voltage : DC brake voltage output. t2:brake time DC Braking Voltage t1 t2 Setting range : 0 ~ 5 sec On-delay time : A time delay before generating the DC brake voltage. Setting range : 0 ~ 20 sec Related functions : F13 Brake time : Amount of time the DC brake is active. In order to enable the DC brake, F13 must be set to <1>. Caution: There is a possibility of an over-current trip if the block time of the DC brake is set to 0 sec. This is because the motor magnetic field has not had time to decay to zero before the DC voltage is output to the motor. 37 DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS Slip compensation, Rated slip, Rated current, No-load current Setting range : 0 ( NO), 1 ( YES ) · Slip Compensation : Enable slip compensation Setting range : 0 ~ 5 Hz Rated slip : This parameter is set on the basis of the rated number of rotations shown on the motor nameplate and the number of poles. If the rated speed is 1740 rpm (based on 60Hz), rated slip can be calculated as follows. Rated slip frequency = (1800 - 1740) x No. of pole / 120 = 2 Hz Setting range : 0. 1 ~ 60 A Motor rated current : Rated current shown on the nameplate of motor. Setting range : 0. 1 ~ 60 A Motor no-load current : Motor current at no load condition. This setting is used for keeping the motor speed constant, regardless of load change. Drive Capacity Setting Setting range : 1. 1 (1hp), 2. 1 (2hp) 240V , 1ph 0. 5. 2(0. 5hp), 1. 2(1hp), 2. 2(2hp), 3. 2(3hp), 5. 2(5hp), 5. 2(5. 4hp) - 240V, 3ph 0. 5. 4(0. 5hp), 1. 4(1. 0hp), 2. 4(2hp), 3. 4(3hp), 5. 4(5hp), 5. 4. 4(5. 4hp) - 460V, 3ph Related functions : CUr ( Main Group ), F31, F39, F43, F44 This setting must match the name plate data of the drive. !Caution : Since the drive capacity is used for the functions related to current display and various current functions in Main Group, there may be a failure in the protection functions of the drive if the capacity setting does not agree with the drive's nameplate data. 38 DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS Auto Retry Setting range : 0 ~ 10 Related functions : F48 ~ F50 Output freq. trip Number of retries : Number of retrial attempts by the drive after resetting itself from a trip. Setting range: 0 ~ 10 sec t t time t : retry time Retry time : Time delay before the drive resets the trip and then engages retry. This is to prevent the motor from stopping itself due to a trip. If there is a trip, it is desirable to get back to normal run by using the speed search functions (F48 - F50) along with retry sequence. If the trip condition still exists after a complete set of retries, the drive stops generating the output. In this case, the drive must be reset by using `RST' terminal or the Keypad of the drive. This feature enables the drive to over-ride nuisance trips for its continuous operation. Fault relay mode Setting range : 0 ~ 3 0 : The relay does not close when there is a Lv (low input voltage) trip or during the auto retry sequence. [. . . ] Remove the material or replace the failed cooling fan. Check the heatsink, air intakes, and surroundings. Reset the drive capacity Adjust V/F pattern. Remove the failed circuit connected with P3 (external trip signal terminal) or check the cause of external trip signal. [. . . ]
