The template states the size of the holes you will need to drill. Please note that the drill template may not be printed to scale. z NOTE: Refer to the Appendix on page 15 for the actual drill template. Mounting Keypad to the Enclosure Door 2. 5 Mounting Keypad to the Enclosure Door Before you begin the installation insert the gasket (GKT-100016-00) between the backside of the kaypad and the bezel (MD-100001-00) prior to attaching the screws. Using four of the eight screws provided in the kit, follow figure 1 to mount the keypad to the bezel. A second gasket (GKT-100016-01) is to be place on the backside of the bezel (see figure 1) with the addition of the gaskets and bezel this keypad now has a NEMA 4 enviromental rating. . You will then need to attach the cable, which should be 2 meters in length, from the drive to the keypad on the enclosure door. Refer to the images below figure 4 to fasten the cable provided in the kit. Pay close attention as to which side the red wire on the cable is to be attached. Figure 1 Figure 2 5 2 - Mounting Keypad on Enclosure Figure 3 below show the drill template for the installation of the bezel. The bezel is a standard component on all Benshaw MX controls and RSi SX Drives. Pictures of the bezel can be seen on page 8 (figures 3 and 3a). With the bezel installed the unit acheives a NEMA 4 enviromental rating. It is up to you where the keypad will be located on the enclosure door. Figure 5a Figure 5 Figure 6 Figure 7 8 2 - Mounting Keypad on Enclosure Interface Card Installation 2. 7 Interface Card The MX Control RediStart Soft Starter uses an interface card (BIPC-300049-01). This card is a standard feature on all MX Controls (BIPC-300050). The interface card is used to connect the units display to the control. zNOTE: Lock out control from all power sources before installation. Remember to remove the adhesive strip. 3. Attach header and interface card assemblly to the MX Control Board. 4. Pay close attention to the location of the red wire when connecting the remote cable. Making sure that the drill template is level, tape it to the enclosure door where the mounting location was decided. Use a center punch to mark the location of the holes. [. . . ]
