Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be replaced at once by qualified technicians or our Customer Service Department. Always remove the plug from the power socket after use. [. . . ] do not reboil water that has cooled down. If necessary, adjust the voltage selector switch 5 to the correct setting. Only in this way can you correctly read the interior markings in the water boiler. Fill the water boiler to no further than the MAX marking, to ensure that no boiling water splashes out. Now insert the plug into the mains power socket. ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains socket before pouring water from the appliance! Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX marking and let it come to a full boil once ­ as described in the next section. After it has boiled, pour this water away. It can happen that the control lamp 6 glows immediately, as soon as you connect the appliance with the mains power source. This means that the On switch 2 was already pressed down when the connection was made. In this case, the boiling process starts immediately. Therefore, always check that the control lamp 6 is glowing, this shows that it is heating up. The appliance switches itself off and the control lamp 6 goes out as soon as the water is on the boil. Never submerse any parts of the appliance in water or other liquids!This can create the risk of a life-threatening electrical shock if residual liquid comes into contact with powered components. Remove the power cable from the wall socket before cleaning. Clean the outside surfaces and the power cable 4 with a slightly damp dish cloth. Be sure to dry the appliance well before taking it back into use. Should you wish to stop the boiling process you must disconnect the plug from the power socket. Obtain any decalcifying agent suitable for kitchen utensils (e. [. . . ] The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery.
