Workaround: You can remove and relink the contact with the Contacts application. Custom status messages might not display in the AIM service for BlackBerry devices. If you turn on encryption for your device and you set the AIM service for BlackBerry devices to automatically sign in, when you unlock your device, the application might not automatically sign in.
