Operating and installation instructions (Long version)
1 Display (touchscreen): Simple and intuitive operation by touching the buttons on the display. 2 VOL -: Decreases the volume 3 On/Off switch: · Long press (for longer than 1 second): Switches the device on · Long press (for longer than 3 seconds): Switches the device off · Short press: Calls up the main menu 4 VOL +: Increases the volume 5 Socket for additional external TMC antenna (internal TMC antenna is present) 6 Memory card slot 7 Socket for power supply (battery charger or charger cable for the cigarette lighter) 8 Stylus for operation on the display 9 Digital camera, among other things for recognising signs : Light sensor for automatic display brightness (top side) ; Socket for additional external GPS antenna (internal GPS antenna is present) < Battery compartment cover = DVB-T antenna (extendable) > Socket for additional external DVB-T antenna ?· Do not expose the device to very low (below -20 °C) and very high temperatures (above 60 °C), e. g. close to fire, heating devices or in a parked car with direct exposure to the sun. [. . . ] It is allowed to use the applications while the vehicle is standing and the engine is switched off.
Note: Videos are recorded using the 4:3 format. Activate the video function in the settings (Video mode on (check mark)). The videos are stored in the "TravelPilot" > "Video" directory. The operation is identical to that of the Entertainment video playback (ch. Touch the button to exit the menu.
Inserting and removing the memory card
The device uses data regardless of whether they are located in memory or on the memory card. u Insert your memory card with the contacts to the front in the card slot until the card engages. If you want to remove the memory card after its use: u If necessary, exit all running applications of the memory card, e. g. u Carefully push on the memory card in the card slot until it disengages. The memory card is ejected a little bit from the card slot and can be removed.
u Touch the symbol in the Infotainment menu. The Entertainment menu is displayed.

Playing music files
The device plays all the music titles located in memory or on the memory card. The technical data show which data formats and playlists are supported. The first track or the track played last is displayed.
u Briefly press the On/Off switch to start another application during playback, e. g. Equaliser The current equaliser setting is shown below the display of the track and artist. Random playback (Mix) The Mix function allows you to play the tracks of the current directory, a playlist or the selected genre at random: u Touch the Options button to display additional functions. Touch the symbol to switch the funcu tion on (check mark) or off (no check mark). Repeated playback (Repeat) The Repeat function plays the current track repeatedly. Touch the symbol to switch the funcu tion on (check mark) or off (no check mark). about the album, artist and track as well as album covers, which music files in MP3 format may contain. Touch the symbol to show (check u mark) or hide (no check mark) ID3 texts.
Note: The album cover is shown in the playback menu if it is part of the ID3 tag (version 2) of the MP3 track. 46
