Madison Street Waterloo, Wisconsin 53594 This wheelset, like all track wheels, is designed to be used in a bike frame with 120mm OLD (Over Locknut Dimension) rear spacing as a 1-speed wheel. [. . . ] Make sure the threads are clean and free of debris. Apply a light coat of Wrench Force® synthetic grease or a similar lubricant over the threads. See your dealer for a recommended grease. Start threads by hand, and install the cog. Follow steps 1-4 to install the lockring. Figure 2- Track-cog side of hub To install a single-speed freewheel Only install a freewheel on the side of the hub without lockring threads. If necessary, remove the thread cover and install it on the other side of the hub. Make sure the threads are clean and free of debris. Apply a light coat of Wrench Force® synthetic grease or a similar lubricant over the threads. See your dealer for a recommended grease. Start threads by hand, and install the freewheel. Tighten the freewheel. WARNING An improperly installed or tightened track cog can cause you to lose control and fall. Make sure the cog and lockring are positioned and tightened properly before riding the bike. Maintenance Once a month, apply a drop of oil between the axle nut and its captive washer (Figure 3). Once a month, apply a light coat of Wrench Force® synthetic grease or a similar lubricant over the axle threads. See your dealer for a recommended grease. Once a month, adjust the hub bearings.
