[. . . ] Notes that show how to avoid damage to the appliance. Useful tips and hints Environmental information Your dishwasher has the new washing system "IMPULSE WASHING". With this dishwashing system the motor speed and spray pressure are varied during the wash cycle to achieve better cleaning of the dishes. It is for this reason that the noise level varies during the dishwashing cycle. 2 Contents CONTENTS Operating instructions Safety Appliance features Control panel Prior to using for the first time Setting the water softener Adding special salt Adding rinse aid Activating/deactivating the inflow of rinse aid In daily use Loading cutlery and dishes Adjusting the height of the upper basket Adding detergent Using 3 in 1 detergent tablets Selecting the programme (Programme Table) Starting a programme Setting or changing the Start Delay Switching off the dishwasher Care and cleaning What to do when. . . [. . . ] After unloading, fold back both handle parts. UI25 UI20 Long bladed knives stored in an upright position are a potential hazard. Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket. Take care when loading or unloading sharp items such as knives. 13 Operating instructions The lower basket Load larger and heavily soiled dishes in the lower basket. To make it easier to load larger dishes, the rear plate rests in the lower basket can be folded down. UI12 UI92 The upper basket The upper basket is designed for plates (dessert plates, saucers, dinner plates up to 24 cm in diameter), salad bowls, cups and glasses; these should be arranged as shown in the pictures. Glasses with long stems can be placed upside-down in the raised cupracks. The cup-rack on the left folds upwards to increase your loading flexibility. Arrange items on and underneath the fold-down cup racks so that water can reach all surfaces. 16 Operating instructions Detergent tablets Detergent tablets of different brands dissolve at different speeds. For this reason some detergent tablets cannot dissolve and develop their full cleaning power during short programmes. Therefore please use long programmes when using detergent tablets, to ensure the complete removal of detergent residuals. Using 3 in 1 detergent tablets These products are detergents with a combined cleaning, rinsing and salt function. Check whether they are suitable for your water hardness. Switch off the dishwasher by pressing the ON/OFF button. 19 Operating instructions Setting or changing the Start Delay Using the start delay timer you can adjust when within the next 19 hours the programme is to begin. Continue pressing the start delay button until the number of hours until the programme is to start is flashing in the multidisplay. Press the button for the desired programme. The length of the selected dishwashing cycle will flash for a moment in the multidisplay, and then the selected starting time will be displayed again. The dishwashing cycle will start automatically following a countdown of the hours set. To change the start delay: As long as the programme has not started, you are still able to change the start delay by pressing the start delay button. Cancelling the time delay: As long as the dishwashing cycle has not started, you are still able to cancel the start delay. Continue pressing the start delay button until the length of the selected cycle appears in the multidisplay. The selected dishwashing cycle will begin immediately after the dishwasher door as been closed. To change the programme after the start delay has been set: As long as the programme has not started, you are still able to change the programme: 1. Press the button for the new programme and hold it down. [. . . ] You must tighten the metal nut using a tool. Then do a visual check for water tightness (make sure that the tap is not dripping). · So that access to the tap in the kitchen is not limited by the use of the dishwasher, we recommend installing an additional tap, or fitting a T-branch to the existing tap. 30 Installation and connection instructions Water outlet hose connection The end of the drain hose can be connected in the following ways: 1. To the sink outlet spigot, securing it to the underside of the work surface. [. . . ]
