Press it again to turn it back on. 5 4 UP/DOWN BUTTONS These buttons are used to increase or decrease parameters in the onscreen display menu system. 5 MENU (SELECT) By pressing this button, you can scroll through the functions which can be adjusted in the menu system: Brightness, Color and Contrast. BV6VIS 6 7 8 6 SYSTEM Pressing this button brings up a menu which enables you to rotate the image on the screen. 7 AV INPUT SELECT Press this button to change between the AV input sources . 8 P. P. (Picture Processing) Pushiing this button cycles between four preset video "styles. " These styles are combinations of brightness, contrast and color which some users find appropriate for the different programs they watch. The four modes are VIVID, SOFT, STANDARD and LIGHT. If you want to return to the settings you created yourself using the Brightness, Color and Contrast settings in the Menu system, press the P. P. button until you arrive at the setting called MEMORY. Errors in instaling this monitor in your vehicle may cause damage which is expensive to repair. Remove the screws which attach the sun visor to the ceiling of your vehicle. Place the visor on clean towel or cloth in a clean area of your worksurface. Push on the visor with your fingers to make sure there are no obstructions inside that would interfere with the installation. After you confirm that there are no internal obstructions, take the paper template provide in place, and mark the area to be cut. 6-5/8" x 4-3/4" paper template taped in place After you confirm that there are no internal obstructions, make a paper template in a rectangular shape, exactly 6-5/8" x 4-3/4" and tape it in the place where you want to locate the monitor. Since the monitor frame is wider than the monitor housing, be sure to leave at least 13/4" space on the visor surface to the right and left of where the opening will be. 1-3/4" clear zone on each side Trace the template accurately with a pencil onto the surface of the visor and remove the template. Using a sharp, adjustable-depth blade knife, make a diagonal cut from one corner (of the rectangular area you traced from the template) to the opposite corner. Repeat, cutting diagonally between the other two corners. Carefully peel back the upholstery material. BV6VIS User's Manual - page 8 1/2" depth Set the adjustable blade to 1/2" depth, and cut around the edges of the hole. Pull up one corner of the visor padding, and use the blade to cut underneath ­ remove a small section at a time, using the "pull up and cut" method for uniform depth. Using sharp scissors, cut the points off the flaps of upholstery material to 3/8" wide. 3/8" Route the cable from the place where it attaches to the ceiling through the visor to the cavity you have created for the monitor.
