[. . . ] ALWAYS keep ALL vents in the Heads and Pack clear of obstructions at all times. ONLY switch the Pack `ON' AFTER THE FLASH HEAD(s) has/have been connected. ALWAYS ensure that the Flash Head cable connectors are correctly fitted before use. ALWAYS remove the Flash Head protective cap before using. [. . . ] The angle of the Flash Head may be set by using the locking handle (Fig. Support the Flash Head before releasing the handle. To fit a Flash Head to a Pack, first ensure the Pack is switched off and disconnected from the supply. Insert the tab on the front of the Flash Head plug into the socket first and then press down firmly on the cable entry end to ensure latched retention. To remove the plug, press the spring latch away from the plug and lift from the cable entry end. Switch the Pack `ON' and test the operation of the Flash Head, modelling lamp and flash. Fitting / Removing Reflector A range of reflectors are available for the Duo-Lite. To fit, slide the neck of the reflector over the front of the flash head, align the three pegs on the reflector with the three slots in the retaining ring, press down and turn clockwise. Dome Retaining Buttons Fitting / Replacing Modelling Lamps ALWAYS switch `OFF' the Pack and remove the connector to isolate the Head before replacing the modelling lamp. If the modelling lamp is not lit but the Head switch is on and the pack controls have no effect then:· Check the operation of other Heads connected to the same Pack. If these do not work and the Pack appears to be working then check/change the Pack modelling fuse after checking the Heads for faults or broken lamps. If not then check/change the Pack modelling fuse. · If the fan is running then check/change the modelling lamp. As the fuse may blow when a modelling lamp fails, always check/change the modelling fuse in the Head if the replacement lamp does not work. Ensure that the Head has cooled sufficiently before touching the reflector or glass dome. Remove the reflector (Fig. 3) to gain access to the glass dome. Remove the glass dome by depressing the dome retaining buttons (Fig. 3) and lifting it away from the flash head. Take care removing the old modelling lamp from the holder. Ensure a replacement modelling lamp of the same voltage as the supply (230 V) is used. Do not touch the replacement modelling lamp with fingers: use clean, impervious cloth or paper, or the new lamp packaging materials. [. . . ] Always allow time to cool before handling. Unwind the twisted trigger wire from the flash tube support. Carefully pull the flash tube assembly away from the Flash Head. To replace the flash tube, hold the replacement assembly as shown (Fig. 4) and locate the three brass sockets onto the plugs in the front of the Flash Head. [. . . ]
