Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use. [. . . ] The kettle will automatically switch `OFF' once the water has boiled. Press the ON/OFF switch to the `ON' position. The kettle will automatically switch `OFF' once the water has boiled. Lift the kettle from the power base and pour the water. Take care to hold the kettle level especially when filled to the maximum level. To re-boil it may be necessary to wait for a few seconds to allow the control to reset. The kettle may be stored on its power base when not in use. The power point should be switched off and the appliance plug unplugged from the power point when not in use. Always fill the kettle between the minimum (MIN) and the maximum (MAX) marks on the exterior of the kettle. Too little water will result in the kettle switching `OFF' before the water has boiled. Filling above the maximum mark on the exterior of the kettle may result in boiling water splashing out from the kettle. This kettle must only be used with the power base supplied. Use caution when pouring water from your kettle, as boiling water will scald. Do not pour the water too quickly.
Operation of your kettle
1. To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pulling up. Fill with the desired amount of water up to the maximum mark on the water window.

2. Ensure that the lid is locked firmly in place. Place the kettle firmly onto the power base. Plug the power cord into 230/240V power point and switch `ON'.

Keep Warm Setting
1. To use the Keep Warm setting, fill the kettle and switch on as normal. Once the kettle has boiled, depress the Keep Warm button to the right to activate.
