The Ikon Toaster has a patented `Lift and Look' feature which does not interrupt the cooking cycle. To check on the toasting progression during the cooking cycle, simply use the high lift lever to raise and lower toast. The toaster turns off when the desired toast colour is achieved and automatically raises the toast. The toasting process can be stopped at any time by pressing the CANCEL button located on the side of the toaster. The display will automatically shut off if not used for 5 minutes or more. Touching any of the front buttons or toasting lever will re-illuminate the display. Insert the power plug into a 230/240 volt power outlet and then turn the power on. The numerical LCD display on the control panel will indicate setting `1'.
