Les statistiques d'accidents démontrent que la banquette arrière est l'endroit le plus sûr pour un siège pour enfant correctement installé; Britax recommande une telle installation aux parents. Pour assurer la sécurité de votre nfant, étudiez les places assises dans leu véhicule à la page 83 et consultez le guide d'utilisation de votre véhicule. Pour un véhicule muni de coussins gonflables, consultez le guide d'utilisation de votre véhicule pour les instructions et précautions pour l'installation d'un siège pour enfant. N'utilisez jamais la courroie de réglage du harnais pour soulever ou transporter le siège pour enfant. Ceci pourrait endommager la courroie de réglage ou la sangle. Transportez toujours le siège pour enfant par la coque ou par les courroies d'ancrage. La protection principale des passagers d'un véhicule lors d'une collision est la carrosserie du véhicule; un siège pour enfant ne protégera pas un enfant lors d'une collision où le véhicule est sérieusement endommagé. Par contre, un siège pour enfant installé correctement augmente considérablement les chances de survie dans la plupart des accidents. Assurez-vous que tous les utilisateurs maîtrisent les façons correctes d'utiliser ce siège pour enfant dans un véhicule. Référez-vous au guide d'utilisation de votre véhicule ou contactez le fabricant pour connaître la limite de poids du DUAI. Utilisez une ceinture de sécurité du véhicule (et non le DUAI) pour les installations pour des enfants dont le poids dépasse la limite de poids du DUAI. Sauf indication contraire du fabricant du véhicule, la limite de poids du DUAI du véhicule est de 18, 1 kg (40 lb). Empêchez les coussins d'impact latéral d'être crevés. La crevaison des coussins les empêchera de performer tel que prévu lors d'un accident. L'utilisation de housses, de coussins, de jouets, d'accessoires ou de dispositifs de serrage non fabriqués par Britax Child Safety, Inc. [. . . ] Problème : Il n'y a pas de déclic quand chaque boucle est insérée dans l'attache. Solution possible : Il peut y avoir des débris dans le mécanisme de l'attache. Nettoyez l'attache tel que décrit aux pages 134 et 135, puis réessayez de boucler l'attache.
