Freestyle 320 plus Extendible aerial Power indicator Lights up when phone is connected to mains. In use indicator Lights up when phone is being used. Intercom button Allows you to use the handset and base unit as an intercom. Battery charging contacts Contact to handset to allow automatic charging of batteries. [. . . ] · Press the OPTIONS button until the display shows RECALL. · Press the SELECT button; the display shows r. · Dial the extension number to which you wish to transfer the call, as normal. Please remember that whatever option you see on the display before pressing the SELECT button is what you will set. For example, if the display shows LISTEN ON, it means that currently the speaker is OFF, and pressing the SELECT button will turn it ON. speaker is switched off. To change channel Options Select While engaged on a call, or after pressing the TALK button to select talk mode, you can instruct your Freestyle 320 Plus to search through its channel frequencies and select the best one. · Press the OPTIONS button until the display shows CHANNEL. 21 Additional features Using Network Services from the cordless handset Freestyle plus To use Call Return Network Services Select The Call Return facility, which lets you find out the number of your last caller, is a free service. Network Services Options Select Network Services are available to customers on a modern digital exchange. To use these services, other than Call Return, you need to pay a small quarterly charge. You can access the Network Services by using the NETWORK SERVICES and SELECT buttons. The Network Services available to you on your Freestyle 320 Plus are as follows: · Call Return · Call Waiting · Call Divert These services are only available in talk mode. When you press the NETWORK SERVICES button, the last-used Network Service is displayed. · To find out who called you, press the TALK button then press the NETWORK SERVICES button, display shows CALL RTN. · You will hear an exchange announcement telling you the telephone number if it is available and the time you were called. · If the number was withheld, the exchange announcement will say `the caller withheld their number'. · Press the TALK button to return to standby mode. When making a call, to withhold a number from Call Return, dial 141 before calling. You need to do this even if the number is ex-directory. 22 Additional features To use Call Waiting Network Services To use Call Divert Network Services Select Select Whilst engaged on a call, if a second call arrives, the Call Waiting facility warns you of the second call and allows you to take it if you want to without hanging up on the first call. When the second call arrives, the handset beeps. If you choose to ignore it, the beep is repeated every few seconds. · To answer the second incoming call, tell your first caller what you are about to do, then press the NETWORK SERVICES button repeatedly until the display shows CALL WTG. · To put the first call on hold and engage the second call, press the SELECT button. · To put this call on hold and return to the first caller, press the NETWORK SERVICES button, followed by the SELECT button. · You can change between the two callers as many times as you wish. If the call you are on is terminated, you are not automatically returned to the other call. The handset will ring again and you can return to the other call by pressing the TALK button. With Call Divert, when someone rings, your Freestyle 320 Plus automatically transfers the call to a nominated telephone number where you can be reached. · To divert all incoming calls to another number, press the TALK button. · Press the NETWORK SERVICES button until the display shows DIVERT CALL. · Press the SELECT button and wait for a message from the exchange. Any other usage will invalidate the approval of the apparatus if, as a result, it then ceases to conform to the standards against which approval was granted.
