[. . . ] Insert two CR123 batteries (3v lithium, not included) into the battery compartment. Be sure to observe the correct battery polarity, as shown on the left. The "+" end of the top battery should be facing out (towards the battery door), and the "-" end of the lower battery should be facing out. When finished using the unit, replace the cover to protect the objective lens (1) and IR light (7). [. . . ] Plug the output video cable into the video output jack ("TV Out"). When the Digital Color Night Vision is connected to compatible (NTSC) video equipment, the image produced by the unit can be monitored and/or recorded. The Digital Color Night Vision also includes a 6 volt auxiliary power input jack (12). To connect the Digital Night Vision to a household outlet, use the included 6 volt AC power adapter. Note that this feature is not intended to recharge batteries of any type, and should not be used for that purpose. It simply provides an option for an external power source. notE: When the batteries are inserted and the external power source is turned on, the device operates on the external power source. If you unplug the external power source, and you want to use the battery source, you have to press the ON button (3) to make the device operate. notE: A standard tripod mounting socket is provided on the bottom of the unit.
