Data Integrator Release Summary 9 1 New Feature Summary Enterprise-class Enhancements Decode function The new decode function provides an alternate way to write nested ifthenelse functions. Faster DB2 CLI Load This enhancement improves the performance of DB2 bulk loading by eliminating the intermediate data file that the DB2 bulk load and import utilities use. Instead, the DB2 Call Level Interface (CLI) load method writes the data from memory directly to the table or view on the DB2 server. Job servers on Red Hat Linux and HP-UX for Itanium 64-bit You can now install and run Data Integrator Job Servers on both the Red Hat Linux as well as the HP-UX IPF 64-bit platforms. Mail over SMTP support In addition to the existing mail_to function that allows you to automatically receive trace and error log information via MAPI email, you can now generate similar emails using an SMTP server. You find the list of possible job servers by viewing all registered job servers in the connected repository that are currently enabled for adapter management. In this version of Data Integrator, at startup time if there are multiple adapters with the same job server name and Instance name, Data Integrator selects the adapter that is running on the local job server computer and then selects the first running adapter on any job server that supports the given adapter instance. 12 Data Integrator Release Summary New Feature Summary Enterprise-class Enhancements 1 Sybase IQ database type In addition to the existing Sybase database type (now specified as Sybase ASE), Data Integrator now supports the Sybase IQ database type for sources and targets. The Sybase IQ database type supports all typical functionality including a powerful file bulk loading interface.
