This document is located in the Merge/Purge & Match section of your Documentation CD. 8 International Data Quality Link for Siebel eBusiness Applications 1. 30c Release Notes Installing the IDQ Link server The IDQ Link includes at least two CDs. The CDs you receive are based on the country-specific address-cleansing engines you purchased. · · The International Data Quality Link for Siebel eBusiness Applications CD contains all of the files that run data quality processing. The auxiliary directories CD(s) contain the extensive lookup directories used for address cleansing. The exact CD you receive depends on your purchase. Step 1: Install your IDQ Link software First, you must install the software for the IDQ Link server. Usually you install this to the same computer that houses your Siebel Server. Insert the International Data Quality Link for Siebel eBusiness Applications CD into the CD-ROM drive. Follow the on-screen installation instructions to install your software. You can use your Siebel development computer with Siebel Tools, but you must be able to access the installation directory on the computer that you installed your IDQ Link software to. Implementation language During certain steps in this configuration process, you must know which language your implemenation uses. If you are unsure whether your application currently uses eScript or VB Script code, you can check the Scriptingdll parameter in your various Siebel applications' configuration files (market. cfg, for example). Open the configuration file for your Siebel application (market. cfg, for example). If this parameter is set to sscfbas. dll, that particular application uses VB Script. If this parameter is set to sscfjs. dll, that application uses eScript. Step 1: Create the Firstlogic project Later in the process you must import some objects for your repository. To import these objects, you need the Firstlogic project.
