[. . . ] What's in this release We implemented the following in Presort 7. 82c: Software installation and delivery - Beginning with this release, the installation for Presort has new delivery and installation procedures. See "Software and directo ries d elivery" on page 6 and "BusinessObjects Licens e Manager" o n p ag e 7. Do cumentatio n delivery changes - We are changing the delivery method for release notes. [. . . ] That is because, with the new Business Objects installation process, we know that you are o n a UNIX platfo rm, b ut we do n't know what o perating system yo u h av e or what version and bit level you are using. Therefore, we will provide multiple operating systems per product in o ne so ftware packag e based on the op erating system available for the Presort product that you've purchased. Run Edjob and scripts You must run Edjob on all of your existing Presort jobs to update them to the new changes and functionality included in Presort 7. 82c. For instructions on running Edjob, see the Edjob User's Guide. 4 Pres ort Releas e N otes Documentation Complete documentation set The following documents are included with your installation of Presort: Presort Release Notes (this document) Presort Job-File Reference Presort User's Guide All documents are availab le in PDF (Portable Docum ent Format). You need Adobe® Reader® installed on your system to view this file. Install Reader To ins tall Adobe Reader, open the AdbeRdr70 _enu_ full. exe lo cated on your Presort CD. In the future, release notes and other documentation will be available in electronic format o nly (PDF an d help files). Release notes and other documentation D ocumen tation 5 Software and directories delivery Later this year, Bus iness Objects will transition from sending you physical shipments of your software and directories to providing them electronically by default. Electronic Software Delivery (ESD) When y ou use ESD, you receiv e software and d irecto ry files electronically, so that you can install the s oftware shortly after you place your request. When u pdated so ftware and directories are availab le, Bu siness Objects will send you an email n otificatio n with a link to th e ESD web site. Th en yo u can go to th e ESD web site (https://businessobjects . subscribenet. com/control/bobj/login) and download the so ftware and directories. Internet connection ESD req uires a high -speed internet conn ection. If yo u don't have internet access set up o n yo ur system, begin th e pro cess o f acquiring an in ternet co nnectio n no w. Contact yo ur IT d ep artmen t for help. You can order additional for-sale options from the ESD web site and instantly activate it in the software by entering a new product activation keycode. You don't h av e to reinstall the p rod uct to activate the newly purchased op tion. If y ou don't want to or can't receiv e software an d d irecto ries b y ESD, you can request a phy sical shipment for a particular release b y selectin g an op tio n on the ESD web site.
