[. . . ] The ironing press should always be turned off before plugging or unplugging from outlet. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet ; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. let ironing press cool completely before putting it away. [. . . ] WARNING : If you cut off the moulded plug, throw it away immediately. This plug is not rewireable and will cause electric shock if it were plugged into an electrical socket. Lay the appliance on a stable, heat resistant surface. To prevent accidental opening, your
ironing press is locked for safety. Gently press the handle down and push the two locking buttons on the handle upwards. Open the press by gently raising the handle. OPENING AND CLOSING THE PRESS
The handle is used to open and close the heating plate. By lifting it with your hand, the pressure is released and the machine opens. By bringing the handle down, the machine closes and the pressing pressure increases until it automatically engages at maximum pressure. The handle also operates the automatic steam emission (see : Steam generation). caution : The press opens automatically. Replace the reservoir by sliding it like a drawer up to the fill position. Fill the reservoir with tap or demineralised water 13. Push the reservoir right in to make sure of a firm connection with the appliance. You can fill the reservoir during ironing. 7

Caution :
Never ask for steam when there is no more water in the reservoir. Never fill the reservoir with hot water. Never add products containing alcohol or essences (perfume, eau de Cologne, lavender essence…) to the water. PREPARATION
To plug in the ironing press - Connect the supply cord to the plug at the rear of the press. - Connect the supply cord to the socket outlet and switch on. For your own safety, check that you have an earth plug. On/Off switch (according to model)
- After having plugged in the press, depress the main On/Off switch . [. . . ] Electrical safety
If the machine is plugged in and closed for about 10 seconds, (SP4200 - X’press3 : an acoustic warning signal sounds) the electrical heating is automatically cut off. The electrical heating switches on again automatically. EASY TO CARRY
It is easy to carry and store the machine. Ensure you lock the machine before carrying it by the handle. [. . . ]
