This device is capable of projecting a wide range of materials from flat documents to three-dimensional objects on the monitor. € This device has many terminals, including RGB OUT for high-definition XGA liquid-crystal projectors and other devices, RGB IN, VIDEO OUT, and S-VIDEO OUT. € Various commands are available to control the unit remotely. [. . . ] RGB IN button/indicator Use this button to switch from images from the unit's camera head to images via an external input (such as a computer) (see page 16). The indicator lights up when the external input is selected. fOCUS buttons/indicator Use this button to focus automatically or manually (see page 12). The indicator lights up when auto focus is selected. wHITE BALANCE button/indicator/control Use this button/knob to adjust color tone (see page 13). ZOOM buttons Press the WIDE button to change the image to wide-angle. Disconnect the power cord if the unit will not be used for extended periods. 11 Manual Focusing When auto focus doesn't focus correctly or when focusing on a particular point of a three-dimensional object, you can focus manually. Because of depth of field, sharp focus may not be achieved for the entire area of a three-dimensional object. Press the NEAR button or the FAR button to adjust the focus. To return to auto focus mode, press the FOCUS button. Operation panel DETAIL AUTO FOCUS MANUAL WIDE NEAR FAR ZOOM ZOOM PRESET STILL PICTURE TELE SOFT HARD FOCUS button • When the FOCUS button is pressed for two seconds or longer, the mode will switch to one-shot auto focus (one-shot AF: once focus is achieved on the subject, focus will be locked in this mode). This mode is recommended when changing subjects often. € When switching projection between three-dimensional objects and paper documents and in other similar cases, switch to one-shot AF mode first, then press the FOCUS button achieve focus. € The FOCUS indicator flashes in one-shot AF mode, and it turns off once the subject is properly focused. € To return from one-shot AF mode to normal auto focus mode, and hold press the FOCUS button for two seconds or longer.
