Read these instructions thoroughly before using the battery pack. Use the BP-945 with the 910/920 Series Power Accessories (compact power adapter, car battery adapter, dual battery charger/holder). If you use the 900 Series CA-900, CB-900 or CH-900, the charge indicator may go out before the battery pack reaches full charge. To ensure a full charge, remove then reattach the battery pack. The charge indicator will blink at first, then glow steadily upon full charge. Unlike a conventional batter y pack, it does not have to be fully discharged first. However, as the battery pack will naturally discharge itself over time, it is best to charge it the same day you plan to use it, or the day before. In addition, there is the possibility of damage to the battery pack and reduced usage time if fully charged batteries are stored for a period of months. Do not allow any metal objects to touch the terminals (Figure A), as this can cause a short circuit and damage the battery pack. Attach the terminal cover whenever the battery pack is not being used (Figure B). The battery pack, charger or the product itself will not work properly if the terminals are dirty. Check them before use, and wipe them with a dry cloth or tissue if necessary. BP-915
