Manual abstract: user guide CARRIER 38VARIOM

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] 6 kW units If used in the tropics, these values must be multiplied by 1. Water flow rate (l/s) Horizontal distance pumped (m) 240V power supply Lift = m 0 Lift = m 3 Lift = m 6 Lift = m 9 Lift = m 1 Lift = m 2 The maximum length allowed for the horizontal tract, compatible with the water flow rate and required elevation, is indicated in the figure. WARNING: Disconnect the mains power supply before all installation and maintenance operations. [. . . ] Remove the front air grille and the filter by rotating the two screws by 1/4 of a turn. Remove the front panel by unscrewing the two retaining screws. Fit the condensate pan and the level controller as indicated in the figure. Using the tube with an inside diameter of 16 mm (supplied by the installer) remove the condensate to the drain pan. Close the condensate drain pan discharge with the rubber cap and install the level controller . Fix the level controller with the clip WARNING: The level controller must be mounted in a perfectly horizontal position and the filter must never contact the electrodes. These units are not designed to have a water level sensor in the condensate drain pan. It is however possible to use the condensate drain pan supplied with the kit. ⷠThe electrical connections between the pump and unit must be made through a conduit rigidly fixed to the wall. The connection order of the single cables must not to be changed. If the pump is installed at a level below than the condensate drain pan, it is necessary to have a coaming of 300 mm on the drain pan, or the pump will no longer take in water. ⷠIn this application the total distance, horizontal plus vertical distances between the pan and the pump, must not exceed 3 m. Do not install the pump outdoors because temperatures below 0°C cause the water left in the pump to freeze and damage the pump. The pump may be installed in any position except the one indicated in the figure, as a defect in the seal may damage the electrical components below it. when the pump has been positioned: · Insert the power supply cable terminal contacts into the unit terminal block according to the wiring diagram. ⷠArrange all cables behind the fan and tie up any excess wiring. [. . . ] ⷠArrange all cables behind the fan and tie up any excess wiring. Testing Turn off the main power switch and fill the condensate drain pan with water. Noise If the discharge tube length is limited this may cause a gurgling noise when water is being drawn into the level controller. [. . . ]
