[. . . ] IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE KEEP IN A SAFE PLACE Such warning signs mean "take care!" They require that you pay attention if personal injury and/or material damage is/are to be avoided. This motor has been designed and tested in such a way as to ensure optimum safety of installation and use provided the following safety instructions are followed completely. Non-compliance of the following safety instructions can result in serious personal injury and/or material damage. Please read these installation instructions carefully in order to avoid errors and to ensure the flawless operation of the shutter strap motor. Any electrical work that may be necessary should only be carried out by a qualified electrician. [. . . ] Fit the strain relief and solar sensor cable in the recess of the plastic cover. Push the cover on to the motor and screw firmly in position. Connect the solar sensor's plug into the socket on the GW180 / GW180L's control board (fig. Re-connect the GW180 / GW180L to the main supply and re-program. In the case of direct exposure to sunlight (approx. 15 minutes), the shutter is automatically lowered to the position on the window marked by the solar sensor. The shutter can then be raised or lowered either by operating the control button or by means of the activated time control mechanism (fig. 17). CONNECTING THE RADIO REMOTE CONTROL See separate operating instructions for radio remote control. Approx. 5 minutes after the GW180 / GW180L has been disconnected from the main supply, all programmed data is automatically deleted. Removal of the motor's plastic housing also leads to the deletion of all programmed data. Warning: If you decide to spend some time outside the location of the shutter, e. g. or want to clean the window(s), you should first de-activate the timer function to avoid the shutter being lowered by accident. COMMISSIONING RAISING THE SHUTTER 1. Press the "Raise" control button and allow the shutter to open completely (fig. When the shutter makes its first upward journey, the upper end point is automatically recognized by the equipment's electronic system. The GW180 / GW180L pulls the shutter up until the stops on it reach the end point of travel (i. e. make contact with the shutter box or brickwork). The shutter then moves a few cm downwards and stops. The equipment's electronic system has now memorized this end point and automatically stops the shutter at this point on every subsequent upward journey. Press the "lower" control button and close the shutter completely. Once the shutter makes contact with the window sill, the GW180 / GW180L automatically cuts out (fig. x Raise Control lamp / LED Lower STOPPING THE SHUTTER 1. The shutter can be stopped at any point on its journey by pressing the appropriate control button a second time. [. . . ] a shutter which is opening is stopped by pressing the "Raise" control button. SET TIME function - individual time control option: By operating the "Timer" programming button and pressing the appropriate "Raise" or "Lower" control button, you can program the shutter's daily "Up" and / or "Down" function at the required times. The timer function is activated / de-activated by pressing the "Timer" button. The corresponding LED goes out after 2 seconds to indicate that the timer function has been de-activated. [. . . ]
