These symbols may be found on the machine and are intended to indicate the following: The lightning symbol should advise the user of parts in the inside of the device which carry dangerously high voltage levels. The symbol with an exclamation mark should advise the user of important operation or maintenance instructions in the accompanying documentation. [. . . ] Push a recorded audio cassette, with the tape downwards and the listening side facing forwards, into the compartment (20). Press the PLAY button (15) in order to play the tape. Use the STOP/EJ key to stop the playing. If necessary, run the tape forwards or backwards as required by means of the arrow buttons. Between switching over and also to stop the tape running functions, always press the STOP/EJ button. By doing so, you can avoid damages to the device or to the tape. Make sure that the cassette is not protected against dubbing (the copy protection tab on the upper edge of the cassette must not be broken). Select the recording source with the function button (7) and if necessary start this source. You record from the source of sound to which you are listening. Playing can be interrupted briefly with the PAUSE key or stopped with the STOP/EJ key. Press the PUSH/OPEN key to open the CD deck cover (22). Insert a music CD with the label facing upwards on the central button and close the CD deck cover. After a few seconds the total number of songs/tracks is shown in the display (27). Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (13) in order to play the CD. The song currently playing will be shown in the LED display. You can set the desired volume using the VOLUME control (3). By briefly pressing the SKIP II buttons (25/26) you can jump to the next or the previous track. If you keep one of these keys pressed down the search function starts.
