These symbols may be found on the machine and are intended to indicate the following: The lightning symbol should advise the user of parts in the inside of the device which carry dangerously high voltage levels. The symbol with an exclamation mark should advise the user of important operation or maintenance instructions in the accompanying documentation. [. . . ] Hours: Keep the TIME button (10) on the back of the machine pressed down until the hour display begins to flash. Then press the +/- buttons (11/12) on the back of the clock radio until the desired hour has been reached. When the TIME button (10) is pressed again, the year begins to flash. Repeat the procedure described in 2 above to set the year. When the TIME button is pressed again, it is possible to set the month and the date. The weekday changes automatically when the date is altered. The time can be displayed according to the 12 hour or 24 hour system. To change from one system to the other, press the +/12/24 hour button. If no button is pressed within 15 seconds, the machine automatically switches back to the normal time display. An integrated sensor reads the temperature and displays it in the bottom right-hand corner of the display. This can be changed from Celsius (°C) to Fahrenheit (°F) by pressing the -/°C/°F TEMP button (12). Then press the +/12/24 hour button (11) in order to go forwards or the -/°C/°F TEMP button (12) in order to go backwards until the desired hour has been reached. In order to activate the alarm, move the function button (8) to the AUTO position. If you would like to be woken up by a buzzer, move the RADIO/ON/OFF/AUTO button (8) to the middle position. In order to switch off the alarm, press the ON/OFF button. The alarm can be switched off for approximately 5 minutes with the snooze button. After approximately 1 hour the alarm switches off completely until the following day. Always remove the mains plug before cleaning the device. [. . . ] In this case do not send back the appliance.
