To briefly stop the playing press the PAUSE key II (12). Stop the playback with the Stop/Eject key í (11). Wind the tape back or forward with the or keys (9/10) ( = forward; = rewind). Insert an audiocassette with the side to be played facing out (full reel on the right). Make sure that both the erase protection tabs on the cassette are not broken; otherwise recording is not possible. Select the recording source with the FUNCTION key (16). The recording can be briefly stopped with the Pause key II (12) or stopped completely with the Stop/Eject key í (11). Insert a CD with the printed side facing up and close the CD deck. After a few seconds the display shows the total number of tracks on the CD. Press the Play/Pause key to play the CD. The CD starts to play from the first track. With the SKIP/SEARCH keys you skip forward or backward from one track to another by pressing the relevant key briefly. By keeping the key pressed, you can search through the track (FR = back; FF = forward). PLAY/PAUSE As the CD plays press once = pause (the PLAY/PAUSE display (C) flashes). Press the PLAY/PAUSE key (E) again to resume playing the CD. REPEAT Press once (the dot on the display flashes): the current track is repeated continuously.
