Put the plug into an earthed 230 V, 50 Hz mains socket. The orange control lamp lights up during heating. Keep the baking unit closed during the warming-up time. The light goes out once the heating time is over and the baking temperature has been reached. Open the lid and insert a double slice of toast with filling in between into each slit. Lock the handles into place by using the hinge.
